Y2K: Year 2000 compliance of my software

Last updated: March 30, 2003

Simply put, on January 1, 2000 (and even later than that!) all my software will run as before.

The reason is simple: the Apple Macintosh is immune to the Y2K problem, unless the programmer chose not to store dates in the standard way, an unlikely scenario.

More detailed information from Apple is available in Approaching the Millennium: The Mac and the Year 2000 (Technote 1049).

According to a San Diego Union Tribune article by David Horrigan, Y2K is a concern for Mac users, too. Too bad the article is a victim of linkrot.
